JetSpread® - our system solution

JetSpread® is the system solution for hydraulically and electrically operated winter service spreaders. The target application is for medium-sized chassis mounted spreaders and tailgate spreaders for agricultural carrier vehicles.

JetSpread® - Perfect Integration for Best Results

Only a few components are required for the complete system: In the driver's cabin the display JVM-104 and at the spreader unit the I/O module JXM-IO-E30, the valve block, a wiring harness and, where applicable, sensors or limit switches.

The HMI is connected to the I/O node via CANopen. The HMI is supplied with power via the short-circuit-proof sensor power supplies of the JXM-IO-E30. This means that no further fuses are required and the HMI can be connected to the salt spreader via a 4-wire cable with minimal installation effort. The system can be operated in a wide supply voltage range of 9 … 32 V and has load current stabilization. All function options and software updates can be transferred via USB stick. The position of the spreader and the spreading data can be transmitted to the operator by connecting a telemetry device.

In addition to hydraulic spreaders, we can equip electric spreaders for on-board power supplies with 12, 24 or 48 V DC. For this purpose, we not only offer the control system, but also the appropriate drive technology.

JetViewMobile 104

With its compact design and rugged enclosure the JVM-104 is an ideal HMI for any application of mobile machinery.It is equipped with a powerful controller which can be expanded by additional I/O connections, as well as by one Ethernet and one USB port. This device saves you an extra controller for many applications.The HMI is operated via eight backlit keys, and a digipot with pushbutton.The built-in light sensor perfectly adapts the illumination of the display to the brightness of the surroundings.

JXM-IO-E30

The expansion module JXM-IO-E30 is the universal remote building block for mobile machinery. Thanks to its well-adjusted I/O configuration, it can take on almost any remote task and this way significantly reduce wiring expenses. The reference output lets you use standard sensors and carry out pre-processing applications.Communication with the JXM-IO-E30 takes place via CANopen®. This allows for integration into conventional CAN networks used in mobile machinery.The potted - and thus rugged - enclosure is applicable in any situation even under harsh environmental conditions.

JetTelematicsMobile 4G

The JTM telemetry device is the universal component that prepares any mobile machine for the era of digitalization. Its rugged design and well-positioned wireless connectivity capabilities make it the perfect companion for monitoring and managing entire fleets of mobile machines. The device communicates wirelessly via LTE CAT-1 and WiFi or in the vehicle network via CAN and USB. In this way, it can be easily integrated into CAN networks of mobile machines. The choice between different software packages allows you to find the optimal fit for your individual connectivity strategy. To extend the connectivity possibilities within the machine network, additional hardware extensions can be added.The compact design with internal antenna allows flexible and space-saving installation on the machine. The module is designed to be used in a harsh and difficult environment.

Overview of JetSpread® functions

Our JetSpread® system solution meets a wide range of requirements that are essential for vehicle operation. Here, we not only consider the range of functions themselves, but also their practicality and ergonomics.

Scope of functions

In addition to activating the function options, the system parameters also include all variable setting values such as valve flows, specific weights of the spreading material, etc. The default values can be changed by the manufacturer on the PC or in the field directly on the device. The JetSpread® software has different password-protected user levels for driver, service, vehicle manufacturer and Jetter AG. In addition to the setting of parameters, updates of the application software can be carried out conveniently via USB stick. As a result, operators will benefit from future optimizations and feature extensions.

Operation | Visualization

As regards the operating concept, we rely on a consistent and field-proven implementation of the visualization. This takes into account both ergonomic aspects and the use of unique icons on all controls.

Everything under control - everything in view

Intuitive operation and menu navigation enable spreading operation after only a short training period. Text elements were completely omitted. Active elements are displayed in green, deactivated elements in gray. This makes settings easy to read, even when driving at night. A bar display clearly shows the set spreading width and position of the spreading pattern.

The dynamic scaling in the case of two-chamber spreaders is particularly convenient: Depending on the selected spreading material and the achievable spreading distances, the scale of the bar display adjusts automatically. For all equipment variants, single or dual chamber spreader, with or without spray bar, folding spreading disc, etc., the appropriate menus are already integrated in JetSpread®.
